Position
Summary:

The Associate Director of Enterprise Applications assists in managing the student information system Jenzabar along with
the College’s broader portfolio of software to ensure Technology across campus serves the College’s mission. This individual will often
serve as a facilitator between end-user and vendor for those services sourced to third parties. Individuals performing this role are
responsible for the perpetual support, maintenance and modifications to information systems with a focus on SQL databases. As a member of
the broader technology team serving the College, they work closely as an escalation point for the College’s Technology HelpDesk to address
end-user inquiries. Incumbents must possess a proven ability to effectively work with a culturally, linguistically, and ethnically diverse
faculty, staff, and student. They are expected to have excellent oral and written communication skills along with strong Information
technology literacy skills such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)

Minimum
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Technology or an appropriately related field with five (5) or more years of related
experience in Systems analysis, SQL server database administration, and/or computer programming; or a combination of education, training,
and experience which would lead to the competencies required for successful performance of the position’s essential functions.

Successful Candidate must have or must possess:

  • Experience in preparing manuals, reports, and documentation
    for applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Student Information Systems (such as
    Jenzabar)
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (such as Blackboard LMS)
  • Experience with Financial Aid Tools (such as
    PowerFaids)
  • Experience with Document Imaging Systems (such as Hyland OnBase)
  • Experience with Higher Ed CRM Applications
    (such as TargetX

Example of Job Duties:

Under the direction of the Vice President for Administration & Chief
Financial Officer, the Associate Director analyzes and designs detailed specifications that solve the need of the campus community.
Solutions range from single to complex and may be independently deployed or implemented through a team or a more formalized project. The
employee will be challenged to be a problem solver, innovator, and trusted adviser to the College’s Chief Information Officer by effective
performance in these essential duties:

  • Administration of the Student Information System (currently Jenzabar) and SQL
    servers.
  • Maintenance of databases including table creation, stored procedures, triggers, agent jobs, and SSIS
    packages.
  • Facilitate user account access, application security and maintain compliance with various College, CSCU System, and State
    of Connecticut policies.
  • Support system upgrades including project management, testing, user training, department acceptance, and
    support.
  • Work with vendors and perform the appropriate due diligence for the implementation and ongoing maintenance of Technology
    while providing transparency to the process for relevant end-users

Starting
Salary:

$73,675 approximate annual plus excellent State of CT medical insurance, retirement, and related fringe
benefits.
