Position Summary

This is a Temporary position currently ending June 30, 2022.

Under direction of the Technology Project Manager, the incumbent supports IT/Safety & Security staff in all aspects of project administration. The Associate Technology Project Manager may be the sole lead on small projects or assist on larger projects. The Associate Technology Project Manager performs a wide variety of activities relative to project planning, estimating, scheduling, budget administration, contract administration, procurement, coordination, cost control, document control, and outreach and engagement.

IT or Safety/Security

Positions assigned to IT/Safety & Security may also be responsible for:

  • Management of Information Technology (IT) network infrastructure projects, Safety and Security projects, and/or assistance on larger technology or electronic security projects. 

  • Technical project management oversight including schedule management, sequences and dependencies, budget and IT standards development, and the ability to read technical drawings and specifications. 

  • Collaboration and communication with IT and Public Safety stakeholders, and telecommunication designers and low voltage contractors.

  • Knowledge of construction practices and procedures including schedule management, construction sequences, budget development, and the ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, with multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Effective organizational skills including tracking project documentation and financial record keeping.
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills including communication to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to interact with a wide variety of colleagues and project teams in a collaborative and professional manner.
  • Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and standards to ensure that decisions are compliant, issues are resolved, or a rationale for deviations from requirements is articulated.
  • Skills with software used in the construction field, such as MS Office, e-Builder, SureTrak, MS Project, Bluebeam.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered, your application must demonstrate these minimum qualifications. (Experience is calculated based on the start and end dates you provide multiplied by the number of hours per week worked).

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, project management, interior design or other related field (relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis). 

Two years of directly related experience as a contributing member of a project team is required. 
Verifiable internships will be considered.

Starting Salary Expectations
This is a Temporary position currently ending June 30, 2022.
Minimum $70,796 to range midpoint of $86,726 Placement will generally not exceed the mid-point, based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Work is split between an office setting and on project sites. There are frequent interruptions and changes in the workflow/volume depending on the number of projects being worked on concurrently. Occasional lifting and/or carrying of materials or equipment may be required. Driving between project sites within the district and community is often a component of the job.
