Description:
Albion College invites applications for the Client Services Technician position. We are especially interested in candidates who will contribute to a campus climate that supports equity, diversity, and belonging. The Client Services Technician is responsible for being a reference point for Information Technology (IT) related queries at the user level and responding to user needs in a timely manner. The technician is responsible for installation, inventory, maintenance, and repair of a variety of Information Technology hardware, including but not limited to computers, printers, and AV equipment. The Client Services Technician is expected to display excellent interpersonal skills as they will interact with students, faculty, and colleagues from various departments and executive levels. They are required to listen to users’ technical needs, understand their problems and implement appropriate solutions. This position includes direct supervision of student employees. Qualifications:
-
Associates degree in Computer Science or related field
-
2+ years experience in computer networks and systems maintenance

A+, Linux+ or Cisco Certified Network Associate accreditation preferred

Experience with database programming and software installation
-
Experience with Mac hardware and software
-
Experience with work order systems
