Position Summary:

The incumbent supervises the development, upgrade, enhancement, and support of clinical systems (Epic,GE Centricity, and other clinical applications). Independently manages large modules of an enterprise /clinical information system and department specialty systems. Facilitates decisions and strategies which affect clinical applications and their use in patient care spaces. Provides extensive knowledge of Electronic Medical Record software deployed in an academic healthcare institution. Supervises, coaches, and mentors assigned groups of Clinical Application Analysts, Clinical Application Analyst Leads, and Clinical Application Managers.

Salary Range:

Annual Rate Minimum $112,000.00 Midpoint $194,900.00 Maximum $277,800.00

Required Qualifications:

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Ability to simultaneously manage multiple large projects

Advanced level knowledge of clinical applications to be able to successfully plan and coordinate activities in this area and serve as a key resource to staff and others across the organization

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Certified in Change Management

Ability to plan strategically, develop objectives and implement tactical plans to achieve desired outcomes

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Computer Systems, Information Analysis, Health Informatics or related field

ITIL v3 Foundation or greater

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties

7-10 years supervisory experience in health information technology

Minimum 10 years of experience in healthcare, with knowledge in both inpatient and ambulatory settings

EPIC or other EMR certification required

Well versed in Project Management methodologies, principles and processes

Ability to manage multiple teams with varying priorities

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and to analyze and interpret data in order to draw valid conclusions for complex business issues

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience working as a project manager / lead
