Essential Functions

    1. Provide service and assistance to computer users to include faculty and
      staff.
    2. Monitor equipment and network performance.
    3. Serve as a resource person for effective software and computer
      usage.
    4. Assist in the scheduling and enforcement of computer facility schedules and procedures.
    5. Assist in testing hardware
      and software; and inventory related classes.
    6. Assist in monitoring supplies.
    7. Perform other duties as
      assigned.

Required Qualifications
Two years of coursework toward degree in information systems or a related
field and one year of experience in a computer-related field. Additional education may substitute for experience on a one for
one basis

Working Conditions
Standard computer lab environment. May involve some lifting and moving of
computer hardware and equipment.

Additional Information
At present, this role is a UTSA telecommuting
position, and the candidate selected for this position will be required to work from home during the COVID-19 pandemic. Telecommuters may be
required to work on campus at times; travel and parking expenses are the employee’s responsibility. It is expected that this position will
return to campus in the future. Applicants must be adaptable and open to working in both environments.

This

position is grant-funded and contingent upon funding availability
