Director of Educational Technology and Training
The Office of Information Technology (OIT) at Western New England University seeks an energetic, experienced, and self-motivated individual to fill the position of Director of Educational Technology and Training. Reporting directly to the CIO, the Director of Educational Technology and Training is responsible for planning, coordination, administration, and support for all aspects of university’s educational technology training environments supporting teaching, learning, and administrative platforms. The Director assists faculty with incorporating computer technology into the classroom, assists in the enhancement of curriculum through the use of technology, and assists in the development and ongoing operation of the online programs at the university. The director helps to ensure that appropriate technology is deployed in learning spaces for the delivery of instruction. The director will lead the development of training strategies, materials, and initiatives for various systems, including the learning management, lecture capture, web conferencing, and community access (self-service) components of the university’s administrative systems supporting students, faculty, and staff. The position leads a high performing team to implement training initiatives and support services using best practices, and with significant focus on collaboration and service delivery. The incumbent will continuously shape and develop enhanced training strategies for the university.
- Earned Bachelor’s Degree in technical discipline from an accredited college or university or equivalent education and experience.
- 5 to 7 years of progressively responsible management experience in Information Technology training and support.
- 5 years of experience working with faculty in higher education.
