Summary of Job Duties:
The Director of
Enterprise Application Services is part of the Enterprise Applications and Data Services (EADS) Department within the University Information
Technology Services (UITS) organization. EADS is comprised of three strategic service teams: Enterprise Applications Service, Business
Applications Services, and Data Services. This Director will lead an Enterprise Applications Services team, which provides solutions to
enable and sustain the University’s strategic plans and initiatives with focus on enterprise applications; direct strategic IT planning
initiatives and establish objectives to ensure appropriate use of financial, administrative, and staffing resources to align with UITS
strategic plan; develop operating policies and procedures to comply with regulations, institutional policies, and system objectives; provide
supervisory authority, including hiring and performance management of employees; assist in developing technology roadmaps, budget
requirements, and service level agreements; serve as IT liaison between the team’s interests and internal/external stakeholders interests;
advise leadership regarding information technology operations and business models; and provide leadership via managers in a distributed or
matrixed organization.


Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in
    information technology or other related field from an accredited institution of higher education
  • At least three years of experience
    managing an application service team comprised of enterprise-level technical professionals in a highly distributed or matrixed enterprise
    (e.g., higher education, public, private, governmental, or research environment)

Applicable equivalencies may be considered on
the qualifications listed above.

  • At least five years of experience in ERP systems providing HRMS, Financial, and/or Student
    Information Services
  • Experience collaborating with senior IT and business stakeholders across the organization to develop scalable
    solutions that support data-driven decision-making

Preferred qualifications:

  • At least three years of continuous
    leadership experience in a higher education environment
  • Experience delivering and overseeing high-quality customer
  • Experience integrating data across disparate data sources using the appropriate technology and best practices to solve
    business needs
  • Experience developing complex budgets and operation plans
  • Experience investigating and analyzing issues and
    using creative resourcefulness to assure the programs and initiatives meet the established goals
  • Experience overseeing a major
    enterprise-wide software implementation to completion
  • Experience establishing metrics programs to drive performance
  • Demonstrated experience working in or implementing an ITIL framework
  • At least three years of experience with
  • Experience working with Salesforce, and SAS Data Warehouse
