Qualifications:

Education: Masters in Cybersecurity, Computer Information, Information
Technology, Administration or other related field

Credentials: Driver’s license and acceptable driving
record

Training or Experience Required: Minimum of 5 years in administration or technology field.

Special Knowledge, Skill, or Ability: Must have extensive knowledge in computers and related software. Must be able to
learn various facets of telecommunications networking. Must efficiently and effectively lead and manage a team.

Performance
Expectations:
The Director of Information Technology is responsible for the daily operations of the Information Technology
department which includes: Computer Services, Telecommunications (Telephone) Services, and Distance Learning. Manages the day-to-day
activities as well as lead the strategic planning efforts in all IT related areas. Serve on the strategic planning committee and
administrative council to help lead the institution’s strategic direction. Responsible for drafting IT and Distance Learning policies,
procedures, and reporting. Collaborate with every department on campus to provide technology needs and find efficiencies. Actively lead a
development team that writes custom applications and integrations with key college systems. Performs administrative level duties under
minimal supervision to provide leadership, supervision and coordination over information technology. Works with faculty and staff to ensure
the college’s mission is accomplished effectively. An incumbent in this position will utilize discretion, ingenuity and independent
judgement due to the complexity of the job.

Reports To: Vice President for Academic Affairs

development.

Contact with Others: An incumbent in this position has regular contact with persons outside the college
which requires tact and diplomacy independent judgment, and problem solving; making formal presentations; interpreting policies and
procedures based on experience. May be required to make formal presentations and reports.

Essential Job
Functions:

1. Schedules staffing; supervises personnel, including hiring, orienting, training, performance appraisal, and
other personnel functions.

2. Oversees ordering, purchase, and acquisition of equipment needed to ensure proper communications and
meets the instructional and learning needs of faculty, students, and the public.

3. Follows accounting and fiscal policies and
procedures. Oversees departmental budget. Oversees purchasing and inventory/ordering of equipment use and replacement.

4. Oversees
checking out of equipment and maintaining records as required.

5. Serves as Telecommunications Coordinator.

6. Attends
Academic Affairs Council meetings, division meetings, and in-service meetings; may serve on various committees to provide constructive input
to resolve problems.

7. Maintains expertise/competence in area of specialty by attending necessary conferences/seminars and/or
schools as required. Reads and keeps current on latest technologies and requirements in the area of specialty and in the division’s
programs. Attends and contributes to the growth of the profession.

8. Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervision: Maintains general oversight of the Information Technology department.

SALARY RANGE: The annual
salary for this position depends upon degrees and years of industry experience.
