The Long Beach City College
District is seeking an Executive Director, Information Systems and Technology. The incumbent is responsible for directing and implementing
all activities related to information technology services in order to achieve the mission and goals of the District. The incumbent shall
provide leadership and technical expertise regarding the development, enhancement, and use of a wide variety of systems and technology.
Additionally, the incumbent must work collaboratively with other administrators, faculty and staff as well as external agencies and
organizations. Assignments are broad in scope and allow for a high degree of administrative discretion in their execution.

  • Salary: MGT RANGE 16:
    $144,644 – $197,078 Annually
  • Advanced salary placement: Generally, new employees start at the first step on the
    salary schedule. Advanced salary placement may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Duties

GENERAL PURPOSE
Under direction, provides leadership and strategic
vision for planning and implementing information systems and technology to support the instructional, administrative and operational
programs and services of the District. This position directs, facilitates, and evaluates the overall policies, procedures, and goals for
District information systems and technologies with the primary purpose of supporting student learning; develops strategic plans, assesses
various technical innovations, and performs related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION:

Education, Training and Experience:

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in information technology, computer science,
business administration, public administration or a closely related field; and eight (8) years of professional experience in information
technologies management in complex organizations, with three (3) of those years in a leadership capacity. Experience working within higher
education in a community college setting is highly desirable. Master’s degree preferred, but not required.

Licenses;
Certificates; Special Requirements:

A valid California driver’s license and the ability to maintain insurability under the
District’s vehicle insurance policy.

Meeting the minimum requirements of the position does not guarantee advancement in the
selection process. Candidate qualifications will be assessed to determine those who meet and exceed requirements, and are deemed most
competitive amongst the applicant pool to proceed.
