Position Summary

The IT Portfolio
Manager (Project Management Office) will report directly to the CIO and
be responsible for all aspects of IT project portfolio and program
management within PCC.  You will drive the IT Project Management Office
(PMO) activities, process development and expansion of project
management best practices across the college. This includes giving
direction to projects and program resources, being engaged in planning
as well as risk and issue management. You will also lead IT PMO
communications and status updates to all stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive project portfolio management activities, including owning and managing the project Intake & Prioritization process

Coordination of all portfolio management reporting including to IT
Leadership, IT Governance and stakeholders involved in IT projects

  • Facilitate and promote portfolio & project management best practices

Ensure all projects follow the IT PMO project management processes
including planning, procurement, budgeting, resource management, change
management, communications

  • Promote a problem solving, process improvement and action-based culture
  • Facilitate IT Governance activities as they relate to IT Portfolio Management
  • Evangelize the IT PMO processes and promote the processes throughout all departments
  • Functional management of the IT PMO team
  • Provide leadership, direction and coaching to develop IT PMO team
  • Drive team to deliver results against objectives in a measurable manner

Demonstrated track record of excellence in influencing, communication and conflict resolution

Experience in process development and implementation

Proficiency in technical and business risk management process methodologies

Experience with business case development and project financial management

Experience with different project management methodologies and approaches

Experience with software-driven portfolio management, metrics and reporting

Experience managing large scale intake & prioritization processes and backlogs

Experience developing enterprise scale IT Roadmaps

Experience interfacing with and presenting to executive and “C-level” management

Passion for delivery and driving the organization forward

Minimum Qualifications
To be considered, your application must demonstrate these minimum
qualifications. (Experience is calculated based on the start and end
dates you provide multiplied by the number of hours per week worked).

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science discipline (relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis).

Five years progressively responsible, professional information technology experience related to area of assignment, including two years experience supervising employees.

Starting Salary Expectations
Minimum $79,510 to range midpoint of $97,399 Placement will generally not exceed the mid-point, based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
