Job Summary
This position will provide direct online instructional support to NCTC employees. This
position will be required to complete monthly PD on upcoming advances in e-learning and disseminate that info to NCTC employees.
Additionally, this position will provide support via the help desk to student/faculty as needed.
Responsibilities and
Duties include:
- Serve as first level of support for students, faculty, and staff to troubleshoot and resolve technical
issues related to the use of the course management system and technologies related to distance education. - Provide individual
assistance to faculty in creating online courses. - Assist with the development of computer based tutorials and instructional guides
for faculty, staff, and students. - Deliver training workshops for faculty and staff in the area of distance learning and
technologies related to distance education. - Assist with maintaining eLearning Department Website.
- Research technology
products and supplies to enhance eLearning. - Serve on College committees as assigned.
Required
Education
Master’s in teaching field of study or Master’s and 18 graduate hours in teaching field.
Required Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (Canvas, etc.). Excellent
listening and communication skills. The ability to work independently. Ability to work outside of normal office hours when needed.
Required Experience
3 years experience working within learning management systems. 2 years successful
online teaching experience . Experience in providing instruction to others as it relates to instructional design for college level
courses.
