IT MANAGER/SALESFORCE ADMINISTRATOR, Abdul Latif Jameel
Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL), to provide IT-related leadership, working closely with J-PAL staff and directors at all levels;
contributing significantly to the use of technology in J-PAL’s research, training, and policy outreach and administrative functions; and
representing J-PAL’s needs to MIT, collaborating with IS&T to address shared issues. Responsibilities include Salesforce administration,
overall IT health, and strategic planning. Will oversee all SF activity (including the work of staff and consultants), integrations with
other applications (e.g. Foundation Connect, Marketing Cloud), platform maintenance, usability (including training), and long-term
sustainability; communicate upcoming changes and impact on staff; have limited oversight of other IT applications (e.g., Drupal) and limited
consulting and final decision-making for proposed new software or changes affecting existing systems; manage IT staff; and provide overall
strategic IT vision with regard to system and data usability and longevity, data security, and regional collaboration.
REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree in
computer science or related technical field; five years’ work experience in IT management, project management, and development of new
technologies; hands-on IT experience, especially with Salesforce (SF) and project management; Salesforce administrator certification,
including three years’ SF administration experience; ability to work with nontechnical staff to determine needs, present solutions to senior
managers, manage outside vendors, work independently, proactively propose projects and IT solutions, and lead and manage others; excellent
people skills and sensitivity to different cultural contexts; and knowledge of MacOS and ability to troubleshoot Mac applications, e.g.,
Apple Mail, Apple Calendar, etc. PREFERRED: experience with Apple and Windows platforms, ability to create custom objects and
complex workflows in SF, and strong G Suite administration skills. Job #19916-10
