Job Responsibilities

Tri-County Technical College invites applicants to the role of IT Services Community Campus Liaison. Under the general supervision of the Director of IT Service Delivery, the successful candidate will deliver outstanding IT service to all campus constituents. The successful candidate will focus on building and maintaining relationships and coordinate initiatives with the community campus leadership, faculty, and staff to understand and anticipate the changing needs at each of the Tri-County community campus facilities as well as coordination of all IT services and support for each of the community campuses. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing tier one and tier two support on the community campuses through in-person and remote support based on the need and location.

The successful candidate will possess strong written and oral communication skills; strong customer service skills; possess a background of working with a variety of areas such as software, hardware, and audio visual; ability to build and foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

The successful candidate will report to the main Pendleton campus each day and will have a standard schedule for visiting different Tri-County campuses and will be expected to evaluate any situation that may have arisen and respond to those situations as needed.

Job Duties Include (but are not limited to):

Build and maintain professional relationship with leadership, faculty, and staff at TCTC community campuses with the purpose of understanding and anticipating academic and business process needs. Coordinate IT services and support for each of the community campuses. Integrate into each community campus team through meetings, events, and intentional communications.     

Provide Tier 2 and Tier 1 support for TCTC technology and software. Tier 2 support is offered through email, chat, phone, remote assistance, and face-to-face interactions. Responsible for identifying and resolving customer incidents and requests reported to the Service Desk. Coordinates the provision of instructional technology in assigned buildings by providing consulting services for faculty in the selection, design, documentation, testing and implementation of learning technology applications and software. Provide emergency classroom support as needed. (Support may be required outside of normal business and operating hours). Tier 1 phone support will be performed during scheduled times while consistently combining through Service Desk email, incidents, and requests. Also responsible for providing tier 1 face-to-face support on the campuses assigned.       

Tier 3 support – Acts as an extension of the IT subject matter experts working with each of the IT teams to provide additional troubleshooting and resolution primarily at the community campuses. Tier 3 support may include working on incidents and requests that span the entire IT service catalog. Responsible for the maintenance and advancement of the IT Knowledge Base. This includes ensuring knowledge processes and articles are being created or revised when appropriate, in the correct format, and posted in accordance with the established processes.       

Responsible for project coordination, tasks and contributions as assigned by the Director of IT Service Delivery. Analyze, investigate and evaluate emerging technology and software as well as manage and coordinate projects throughout the project life cycle. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

High school diploma and three (3) years of experience in office automation systems, data communications systems, design, installation, operation, repair, sales or marketing, or processing of information in a data processing environment or related systems.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to to those who possess background with audio visual technologies. Additionally, preference will be given to those with experience using Team Dynaics software.
