Job Description:
Coordinates sourcing, contracting, and
onboarding of vendors, and consolidates hardware, software, cloud, and/or related services for new and renewing contracts for cost/effort
saving opportunities. Collaborates on all aspects of the IT vendor portfolio management (e.g., administrative, financial, documentation,
monitoring and operational impacts). Interacts with product vendors as a professional negotiator on behalf of the UT System and with a broad
group of System institutions and System Administration stakeholders to oversee IT software, cloud, and hardware vendor
management.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of supplier management experience
or related professional experience.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Experience with IT vendor
    management and negotiations
  • Experience in working across multiple institutions. Proven ability to complete projects on time, on
    budget and on scope. Proven ability to work independently but collaboratively
  • Experience within University of Texas System
    institutions or System Administration
  • Experience in public university or state agency IT vendor management
  • Experience in
    both academic universities and academic health centers
  • Results oriented with a keen attention to details
  • Strong
    communication skills
  • Ability to understand, relate to, and to articulate customer needs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with
    the ability to inspire and engender trust across all levels of the organization
  • Master’s degree
