Under the limited supervision of the Chief Information Officer, coordinates development and implements specialized training and development programs aimed at improving individual and organizational performance. The incumbent conducts needs assessments and designs, develops, tests, delivers and evaluates IT training programs for various software packages and specific University business applications.
Plans, designs, develops, and delivers sustainable strategic training and instructional programs, using instructor-led, train-the trainer, electronic/web-based, and/or multimedia training methods and formats. E Provides strategic consulting in all aspects related to training and/or technical training for organization-wide initiatives and projects. E Participates in the design, development and implementation of training programs of a broad organizational scope. E Conducts needs assessments to identify and evaluate training requirements for high impact technology training. E Conducts or facilitates general or specific technology training programs. E Develops training materials to include training handbooks, job aids, models, multimedia visual aids, computer and web-based tutorials, and standard operating procedures. E Delivers appropriate training and on-the-job performance support including evaluation of learning solutions. E Participates in effective training delivery including analysis, implementation, testing and documentation of educational systems. E Researches and studies advancements in educational technologies and methods; evaluates effectiveness of training and development programs, utilizing appropriate data collection instruments and procedures. E Recommends and/or implements innovative solutions, modifications and enhancements to technology training programs. E Evaluates effectiveness of training and development programs, utilizing appropriate data collection instruments and procedures. E Consults with cross functional project teams, leaders and/or stakeholders. E Administers training programs in accordance with business needs, regulatory requirements, and Quality Management System. E Coordinates or performs administrative functions necessary to deliver and document training programs. E Serves as point of contact for technology training needs. E Performs other job-related duties as assigned. E=Essential Duties
Advanced analytical, business acumen and critical thinking skills Designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating training plans, curricula, and methodology Computer based training (CBT) using tools similar to Camtasia or Captivate Productivity tools for PCs and Mac

Any combination equivalent to: A Bachelors degree and two years of experience in information technology and two years of experience conducting technical training.
Experience with Ellucian software
