Jr Software Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a smart and capable graduate or junior software engineer for a full-time position to work in our Shatin office. PMD Engineering develops and manufactures complex motors and motorised components for both innovative and large companies around the world. To keep our business functioning, we develop our own business and operations software (ERP/MRP) from the ground-up to maximise flexibility and to align with business needs. This covers everything from invoicing, orders, billing, purchasing, warehouse, manufacturing and other ERP/MRP type applications. We have a small software engineering team that is focused on providing solutions for our own company. We do not develop for clients or third parties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing features or change requests for applications or modules.
• Refactoring and organising code to be efficient and coder friendly.
• Keep a shared knowledge base for all software engineers.
• Assist in code testing and release knowledge base.
• Self manage your time, tasks and deliverables.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Accredited degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience/training.
• Recent with graduates with exceptional demonstrable skills are welcome to apply.
• Experience with Python and JavaScript.
• Experience with MySQL or other relational databases.
• Experience with HTML and CSS.
• Hong Kong citizen/resident or other immigration status with no restrictions for work in HK preferred, but visa sponsorship may be considered on merit.
