Manager, Identity and Access Management

TU is
currently accepting applications for a Manager of Identity and Access Management in the Office of Technology Services (OTS). This
role is responsible for managing the Identity and Access Management (IAM) staff, services and operations. The individual will provide
technical leadership for projects and operations for a variety of IAM-related technologies and processes. This person will collaborate
with technical staff, management, and business users to help ensure delivery of robust, secure, highly available, modern IAM services.

Responsibilities and Duties
The Manager of Identity and Access Management is responsible for managing the
Identity and Access Management (IAM) staff, services and operations.  The position reports to the Director, Enterprise and
Infrastructure Services in the Office of Technology Services (OTS).

The IAM team is responsible for management of the large-scale IAM
system, workflows, integrations, end-user experience, identity data, and security. In addition, the team is responsible for the
management of the university account (NetID) lifecycle, application and role security design for several enterprise systems (such as
PeopleSoft and Oracle Cloud), aspects of Active Directory account and group management, enterprise-level auditing of accounts and access,
and responding to end user requests related to accounts and access.

In addition to managing those services and operations,
this individual is also responsible for working with other Enterprise and Infrastructure (EIS) management, other teams in OTS, and
business and end users to ensure that the service offerings meet the needs of the university in a reliable, user-friendly, modern, and
secure manner. The Manager of IAM helps to provide leadership and guidance on the topic of IAM when working with others in OTS and
throughout the university.

This position performs all the typical supervisory responsibilities for the team members,
manages projects, works with vendors, and makes contact with peers at other organizations to learn about industry trends and best practices.
This position must continue to build knowledge, and ensure the team is building and sharing its knowledge. This position must help the
department evolve its knowledge and operations as we continue to develop the growing IAM discipline.

Qualifications and
Skills

Required Qualifications:

  • Three or more years of proven experience and success with
    enterprise-level Identity and Access Management-related work.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Knowledge and/or familiarity with
    IAM/Identity Management systems, standards, procedures, and/or best practices.
  • Knowledge and/or familiarity with Active Directory,
    LDAP, or other similar directories.
  • Knowledge or experience with the application security/access management of large-scale
    information systems, such as ERP, Human Resources, CRM, higher education management, or other similar systems.  This likely includes
    experience collaborating with others to identify access requirements, ensure appropriate account provisioning and de-provisioning,
    design/implement/test application security, and perform access auditing.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully interact with
    multiple stakeholders with divergent interests to obtain a set of common goals and objectives. 
  • Demonstrated understanding of
    complex integrated systems, particularly information systems.
  • Ability to work with clients (end users, business unit management,
    and senior management) in changing business processes, training, defining requirements, and managing issues to ensure architecture
    policies are followed.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management, make technical presentations in lay terms,
    and fully inform management of pertinent issues and project progress.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects to
    ensure they are delivered on-time, in-budget, in-scope, and meet requirements.
  • Ability to perform cost-benefit analyses of
    alternatives and assess risk.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and other software (e.g., Office/Excel) required for proper design,
    implementation and auditing of application security.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with
    IAM/Identity Management systems
  • Experience with Active Directory or LDAP user and group management
  • Experience with
    PeopleSoft or Oracle Cloud application security
  • Experience with Oracle database security and SQL
  • Demonstrated ability to
    lead a team of technical staff
