The Office of
Information Technology (OIT) officially formed in March of 2014 with the vision of becoming the primary organization that university

Nature of Work

The Manager for Constituent Services is an unclassified administrative position in the Office of Information Technology requiring
strong leadership and management skills and advanced technical knowledge. The position provides traditional direct line-and-staff
supervision. The position holder is directly responsible and accountable for ensuring the work unit provides robust and reliable technology
services in support of multiple applications and services. This includes, but is not limited to: Microsoft 365, Adobe Creative Cloud,
Cherwell, Zoom, Qualtrics, Formstack, and related enterprise-level constituent focused applications. Critical to the success of this
position will be the ability to blend on premises technology with external service offerings into enterprise service offerings for the
University of Colorado Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus community. Further, all services must be well articulated and depicted in such a
way as to describe their use and differentiation, such that customer tool selection complexity is minimized.

Managers are responsible for the day-to-day operation of functional work units, including the development and
implementation of processes consistent with college, school or departmental strategies and processes and the supervision of professional
and support staff.

Supervision Received

The Director of Enterprise Applications and Services for the Office
of Information Technology at the University of Colorado Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus provides supervision and administrative review for
this position. The Director assigns work by directives, and general instructions that outline goals and objectives pertaining to the
strategy of Constituent Services, as well as coaching, providing feedback, and where appropriate prescribing specific tactics. The assigned
work is frequently multifaceted, unstructured, technical, and generally time sensitive.

Supervision Provided

The Manager of Constituent Services supervises several positions serving both as individual contributors, and team leads. In this
supervision, it is necessary for the Manager to transform the sometimes-high level objective based directives given to them into a series
of actionable tactics to be performed by themselves and their staff. Generating and participating in a culture of positive teamwork is a
necessary outcome of this supervision.

Examples of Work Performed

  • The Manager for Constituent Services
    oversees the day-to-day operations of the Constituent Services team within OIT. This includes the establishment and maintenance of a record
    of all technical skills required to maintain all components, paired with staff capabilities; ensuring ongoing cross coverage, as well as
    managing staff scheduling to achieve at least single point coverage during all established coverage hours.
  • Manages
    administrative tasks and staff performance for the Constituent Services teams including: completing of performance plans, conducting at
    least four documented performance coaching sessions per year, completing a written performance evaluation for each employee, and meeting
    with all employees regularly to provide a forum for bi-directional feedback, discussion, and adjustments to work assignments.

  • The position is responsible for the development and maintenance of a program roadmap, aligning service capabilities with business
    objectives, capitalizing on technical and / or skill synergies, and rationalizing technology advancements. This exercise will require
    collaboration with other Managers/Directors, the Director of the division, university constituents and the CIO. Further, the position is
    responsible for the development, implementation and testing of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans for all service components
    in collaboration with other OIT divisions and programs.
  • Transformation of the program roadmap into actionable discrete
    implementation projects for review and management in accordance with established OIT project management and review procedures. These
    projects may be managed by an assigned project manager (either from within or outside the group), or the Manager themselves.

  • Ensures the development and maintenance of technical and service documentation for all technology components and services offered. These
    documents are intended to document technology service and process to internal workers to convey knowledge among team members, as well as
    provide insight for security and architectural review by others within OIT, and as appropriate external reviewers.
  • Ensures the
    appropriate use of funds allocated to achieve objectives, verifying that receipt of goods, services and work product is in accordance with
    items billed, and meets the standards set forth.

Minimum Qualifications

Education and Training:

  • Completion of four years of college with a bachelor’s degree form an accredited university or college with major emphasis in
    Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field.


  • 4 years of professional or high-level technical experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualification


  • 7 years of progressively responsible experience in the IT industry is preferred.
  • Operational IT
    experience within a governmental or higher education institution is desired.
  • Experience with implementing Microsoft voice and
    A5 licensing features.

Education :

  • An M.B.A. or M.S. with emphasis in telecommunications, computer science,
    information systems, IT security, or systems engineering desired

Conditions of Employment:

This position may
require some occasional weekend and evening assignments as well as occasional availability during off-hours for participation in both
scheduled and unscheduled activities.

This position is eligible for full-remote, hybrid, or on-site working locations. The work
schedule will be based around core working hours in Colorado Mountain Time.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range (or hiring range) for
this position has been established at $73,102 to $110,000.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based
on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above
salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation
at the time of posting.
