The Georgia State University/Georgia Institute of
Technology/Emory University Center for Translational Research in Neuroimaging and Data Science (TReNDS) is focused on developing advanced
analytic approaches and neuroinformatics tools that leverage brain imaging data, with a goal of translating these approaches into biomarkers
that help solve issues related to brain health and disease. Large-scale data sharing and multimodal data fusion techniques are the
underpinnings of our approach. We develop state-of-the-art signal processing and web-based solutions to further this goal.

About the Team

The TReNDS Operations Team manages the financial, administrative, and logistical support for
the Center and the various members. The team is responsible for supporting researchers who are using novel approaches in neuroimaging and
data science to better understand mental illness and other neurological disease onset, detection, and prevention. The team’s goal is to
provide accurate, efficient, and consistent support to allow the researchers to focus on their science.

About the

The Operations Manager will help manage the day-to-day operations of a large University Research Center and serves
as the point of contact for on-site operations. The Operations Manager will triage and resolve IT and facility-related requests and issues.
The person in this role will be responsible for managing the Center’s equipment inventory, office and workspace assignments, and certain
communication applications and tools. They will assist researchers with computer equipment and software issues, like connecting monitors and
assessing login issues. They must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and efficiently multitask. They will need to have excellent
critical thinking skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changes.

Primary Duties and

  • Manages computer, telephone, and related equipment inventory. Manages and assigns workspace and offices.
    Tracks Center’s ticket requests to central IT and to building management.
  • Manages operations related on and off-boarding tasks,
    including assigning of workspace, computer equipment, telephone assignment, requesting facilities access, etc.
  • Assists with
    establishing policies, procedures, and workflows for internal processes. Identifies and facilitates the creation of documentation and
    training guides for various operational tasks.
  • Coordinates equipment setup and tear down. Assists Center members with
    troubleshooting software, application, and equipment issues.
  • Oversee various communication mechanisms, such as internal and external
    websites, email lists, digital displays, newsletters, etc. May oversee telephone and front desk coverage.
  • May supervise assigned
    office staff and student assistants as appropriate.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field and two years of
supervisory/managerial experience; or a combination of education and related experience.

Preferred Hiring Qualifications:

  • Experience using Windows and Apple machines and operating systems
  • Knows
    how to connect various types of computer equipment like monitors and docking stations
  • Experience troubleshooting application,
    equipment, and AV issues
  • Has knowledge of various cords connection types (HDMI, USB-C, Ethernet, etc.)
  • Has equipment
    inventory experience
  • Familiar with Outlook, G-Suite, WebEx
  • Ability to use independent judgment and make decisions in complex
  • Effective organization and time management skills
