Job Description:
The job duties include but are not limited to the
following:

A) Solicit projects: Acquire business-related projects for UTDsolv initiative on a regular basis, market
capstone senior projects to the business community, promote projects to alumni and seek their involvement with projects, communicate as a
liaison between the project team and business advisor to ensure client satisfaction.

B) Assist clients: Contact clients
(project sponsors) to better understand the preliminary project scope and expectations, assist clients in resolving issues with the online
platform, project kick-off and progress updates. Meet with clients to assess project and overall satisfaction rate and seek feedback for
process improvement purposes. Act as a liaison between the client, faculty advisor, and students’ teams. Participate in all events and
represent the department as needed.

C) Set up the UTDsolv online platform each semester: Review incoming capstone senior
projects, set up initial communication with clients, review business objectives, project scope, schedule, and deliverables. Add students to
the platform, track progress, support students and faculty advisors in using/navigating the online platform, and update UTDsolv website
regularly.

D) Assist students in developing their business solutions: Monitor and review students’ deliverables,
provide enhancement feedback regularly and assist students in executing the project according to the plan. Review the quality of students’
work throughout the project life cycle and provide timely feedback while motivating all teams. Monitor progress, suggest adjustments,
measure overall performance, and identify areas for improvement. Coordinate logistics for students’ teams to present solutions to
clients.

E) Assist faculty in managing projects: Provide project updates/progress to the faculty advisor and manage
reports and related project documentation. Develop and maintain dashboard reports, perform necessary audits each semester to ensure met
guidelines, and train new adjuncts. Provide improvement ideas to faculty and undergraduate dean.

F) Provide assistance
as needed by the department in other duties in designing and managing undergraduate projects and activities.

Minimum
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree – Business, Technology and/or Project Management- Five to seven years experience
    with management of multiple small to medium complexity or a complex Technology Project.

Preferred Education and
Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in business and at least five years of professional project management experience with an
ability to demonstrate proficiency in managing projects, minimizing project risks through the lifecycle, proficiency in project management
software, methodologies, and best practices. Ability to lead negotiation, coordination, problem resolution, conflict management, and resolve
students’ issue. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication and client-facing skills. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
