The developer will be helping the existing team to deploy, scale, and maintain a system that will be used by millions of users worldwide. This is a full-time role that requires a significant overlap with the PST/EST/CST time zone.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design cloud infrastructure that is secure, scalable, and highly available on AWS
  • Configure and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure defined as code (AWS CDK)
  • Build and maintain operational tools for deployment, monitoring, and analysis of AWS infrastructure and systems
  • Define the tools, designs, and systems used by teams across the company
  • Work collaboratively with software engineering to define infrastructure and deployment requirements
  • Ensure configuration and compliance with configuration management tools
  • Perform infrastructure cost analysis and optimization

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as an AWS DevOps Engineer
  • Extensive experience working with AWS, Java, Python, and React
  • At least 3 years of experience building and maintaining AWS native infrastructure (Serverless, CDK/Cloudformation, VPC, EC2, Security Groups, IAM, ECS, CloudFront, S3, Media Services)
  • Hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD and automating deployment
  • Prolific experience building and deploying JAVA, React/JS, and Python applications in mission-critical environments
  • Good understanding of how to secure AWS environments
  • Solid foundation of networking and Linux administration
  • Previous startup experience would be a huge plus
