The Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority was subject to a cyber attack on Christmas Day, according to a news release sent out by the provincial government Tuesday.

The release says the attack impacted the organization’s computer systems.

Right now the SLGA says it has no evidence that “the security of any customer, employee or other personal data has been misused.”

It says upon learning of the incident, the SLGA began taking steps to secure its systems to mitigate the damage done and retained experts to help with the attack.

According to the press release, SLGA has temporarily disabled certain computer systems and applications as it investigates. SLGA says it will bring these systems back online once its advisors have addressed the incident.

The province did not say what kind of information was taken, if any. Nor did it say how many people may have been affected by the incident.
