One limiting factor for organizations in a disruptive event such as a ransomware attack is that they do not understand their end-to-end value chain, Boyce says.

When businesses rely on traditional business continuity plans, he says, they are only able “to see the relative reports within one business unit at a time, and these events are causing disruption across the entire value chain of an organization.”

In a video interview with Information Security Media Group, Boyce discusses:

  • The evolution of ransomware extortion;
  • Why existing recovery strategies that are tuned to traditional business continuity plans are no longer enough;
  • Strategies to manage and modernize ransomware response.

Boyce helps clients evolve their cybersecurity programs by focusing on the threats that matter and driving digital transformation through innovative protection strategies. He provides hands-on consulting services to the Global 2000 in the areas of advanced security operations, crisis preparedness and response, and cyber defense and protection strategies. He is also responsible for shaping market strategy, including offerings, innovations and investments.
