Job Duties:
Provide technical and instructional support to faculty, staff, and students in the daily support of technology-enhanced classrooms, as well as Web-based teaching, research, and productivity tools; software packages, and technology training opportunities. Assist faculty in locating, evaluating, and implementing learning technologies in support of the instructional mission of the university. Provides support for college-wide web applications including Canvas, Saba Centra, Tegrity, and SharePoint for the College of Allied Health Sciences. The Tech Support Analyst leads and supports the college by locating, evaluating, and implementing learning technologies according to the instructional mission of the university. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to 1) supporting instructional actions that use recording software within the college, such as creating, scheduling, and monitoring the start of each class meeting as well as checking on continued recording integrity; 2) providing technical and instructional technology training and support, particularly with Canvas and university-supported systems for faculty, staff, and students; 3) facilitating and producing multimedia learning objects and online training materials; 4) troubleshooting software and hardware issues for faculty and staff; 5) researching advances in educational technology and making recommendations related to instructional strategies, 6) remaining professionally competent in educational technology, 7) assisting with college events that require technical support, and 8) supervise student worker who assists the Tech Support Analyst. This person will rarely, but upon occasion, provide support in evenings or weekends.

Minimum Education/Experience:
Associate’s degree in Computer Information Technology, Computer Technology Integration, Networking Technology, or related area and two years of experience in the information technology field related to the position’s role; or Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and two years experience in the information technology field related to the position’s role; or Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, math or engineering and one year of related experience, or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Organizational Unit Overview:
The College of Allied Health Sciences (CAHS), a unit of the Division of Health Sciences (DHS) is comprised of nine departments: Addictions & Rehabilitation Studies (DARS), Biostatistics (BIOS), Clinical Laboratory Science (CLSC), Communication Sciences, and Disorders (CSDI), Health Services and Information Management (HSIM), Occupational Therapy (OCCT), Physical Therapy (PTHE), Physician Assistant Studies (PADP) and Nutrition Science (NUTR). The CAHS offers six (6) undergraduate (BS) degrees, seven (7) Masters’s (MS) degrees, and four (4) doctoral degrees (DPT, AuD, and two (2) Ph.D.’s). The BIOS faculty supports the Statistics Lab on the east campus. The HSIM Department administers the Health Care Management certificate program for the College of Business MBA and MPA degrees and administers a certificate in Health Informatics. The CSDI Department operates the Speech and Hearing Clinic for patients; provides hearing screening tests for all prospective Education majors, and evaluates and provides therapy for students with hearing or speech difficulties in conjunction with Disability Support Services in the Division of Student Life. The Nutrition Science offers dietetic programs. Enrollment exceeds 1050 students.
