Job Summary

The Department of Communication is seeking an experienced Web Project Manager to serve as project manager of web projects responsible for the planning, developing and deploying of websites. The successful candidate will work directly with partners and clients to determine project scope and specifications and will coordinate the work of design and development teams to implement websites. This position will report to the Director of Digital Strategy.

Responsibilities*

  • Serves as project manager of web project — responsible for planning, developing, and deploying websites including preparation of text, graphics, audio, and video for web pages. 
  • Works directly with partners and clients to determine project scope and specifications. Coordinates the work of design and development teams to implement websites. Reviews progress, manages resources, and ensures overall quality of completed website. 
  • Analyze, compare and evaluate various courses of action and have the authority to make collaborative decisions on matters of significance within the scope of their responsibilities.

 Required Qualifications*
* Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Marketing, Digital Marketing- At least three to five years of combined project management and web experience- Working knowledge of and experience with web platforms, techniques, and best practices- Excellent verbal and written communication skills- Experience working collaboratively to set goals, implement projects, and assess success- Accustomed to the strategic use of brand awareness, marketing, and user experience, and customer service- Must be comfortable in a multi-layered organization with complex reporting relationships- Ability to produce high-quality work on deadline and handle several projects at once- Ability to take both direction and initiative- Proven experience generating client satisfaction and providing solutions- Skilled multi-tasker, excellent listener, and extremely organizedAdditional Information

There are two Web Project Manager positions available.

The salary for this position will be based upon the selected candidates education and experience.
