Getting annoyed with this, seen frequently in this website. It’s not like Xiaomi is better. Who wants to buy a phone with handicapped UI with lots of bugs?
Not a Sony fan as I don’t like their looks and overhyped 4K screen. Yes the pricing is too expensive.

vrvly, 3 hours agoThough I love manual mode, I’m not into Voyager tech. I like more not perfect but capable… moreHonestly, a Sony Xperia Pro R or Alpha R might be something else. Sony might surprise people and bring a high-resolution 1-inch sensor using the full sensor for photos, like their A7R series.

Shui8, 6 hours agoAs much as I love Sony, near to none professional photographers will buy it. The problem is th… moreJust wondering about the 1-inch sensor. While it doesn’t use the entire thing, it does help with multi aspect ratio crops, levelling the frame, portrait shooting without rotating camera. For the video, you could get electronic rolling shutter correction as well. This is probably why it’s targeted towards bloggers.

Lets be realistic here – the specs are nothing super special in comparison to the competition thats out at the moment. Even if some of them are they are not ‘800 Dollars’ better.

People don’t understand. In 4-5 years Vloggers will start using smartphone to record their daily vlogs. Essentially compact cameras will be replaced by smartphones. Sony is just seeing the future ahead which people don’t realise

Almost all device makers use funny gimmicky stuff In camera space and sony on the other hand don’t. Theirs is practicality, go into the camera app and bring out the best out of the camera potential. simple

its such a good direction sony is moving in….. i would love to see this pro series making sony’s other camera and audio playback devices redundant… atleast the lowend ones. merge every dedicated camera or audio or gaming device they can, in this phone and gradually merge xperia 1 series in it….. create a real ultimate pro mobile device. no one else is doing it, no one else is capable of doing it. they can very well create a niche for them but ultimately its a niche worth having. as there’s no competition and without competition they can charge any price they want basically.

Do you think a company of this caliber would make a product and price it so much so that they could end up making a loss?
I mean this ain’t a product for an average consumer. It definitely ain’t for you guys.
