Warzone’s The Haunting event is back for Season 6, returning for the second consecutive year and bringing Halloween to the battle royale and Black Ops Cold War. Here are the confirmed The Haunting dates and rewards.

The Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 6 roadmap gave players their first glimpse at what is to come when the new season launches next week. With Halloween just around the corner, the headline addition is the new ‘The Haunting’ event.

It’s the second year in a row that Call of Duty fans have been able to enjoy a spooky twist to the game, with the Haunting of Verdansk special event taking place in 2020.

This year’s event is set to be even scarier, so here’s everything you need to know about Warzone & Cold War’s The Haunting, including the start date, rewards, and more.

Warzone The Haunting start date

Warzone’s The Haunting event is set to begin on Tuesday, October 19, running through the Halloween period and ending on Tuesday, November 2.

In terms of the time the event starts, that remains uncertain. If Activision stick to their usual event start times, it’s likely it will kick off at 10 AM PT, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated when the time is confirmed.

The dates for this year’s Halloween event match those of the 2020 iteration and kicks off two weeks after Warzone Season 6 starts.

Warzone The Haunting rewards

Last year’s Halloween event featured Billy from SAW, and this year we already know that players can unlock Season 6’s LAPA SMG by completing a series of challenges.

What those challenges will be remains to be seen, but it’s likely to function like The Numbers event which wraps up around the launch of Season 6.

Will Verdansk’s night mode return?

Verdansk “went dark” during the previous Halloween Event, turning the map’s usual chaos into a nighttime affair.

Since the Haunting of Verdansk, the only other case of night modes in Call of Duty: Warzone was during the Season 2 Nuke Event that saw Rebirth Island overcome by darkness.

Fans have repeatedly asked for Warzone to bring back some kind of nighttime battling, even if for a brief time as an LTM. Verdansk ’84 has never had any form of this, so we’d say it’s quite likely that night combat will return.

With the event still weeks away, more details will be confirmed about The Haunting as time goes on, so keep checking back to CharlieINTEL for the latest on the spooky addition to Warzone and Cold War.
