We currently have an opportunity to join our team of talented and diverse Faculty and Staff as a Computer
Lab Specialist.

Required QualificationsThis position requires an Associate degree with
emphasis in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field and one + years of related work experience maintaining
computer equipment in a production environment.

Desired Qualifications:  A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science,
Information Systems, or a closely related field and experience troubleshooting IP networks is preferred.

The anticipated
hourly rate pending fiscal approval for this full time, non exempt position is 15.39; approximate amount amount of $32,000.

Key
Responsibilities
:  

  • Installs, supports, maintains, and troubleshoots computer hardware and software,
    researches solutions for hardware and software issues.
  • Plans and organizes programs/activities for area of responsibility; assists
    with completion of departmental tasks as needed.
  • Assists coworkers with resolution of technical issues.
  • Performs localized
    and network security policy management, and network device or server management.
  • Maintain record system for assigned areas;
    processes daily paperwork including reports, memos, requisitions, and personnel information.
  • Attends staff meetings to exchange
    information.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  The successful candidate will be working with Division of Blind
Services clients and will be educated and trained by the Division to work with and interact with visually impaired and blind persons. The
successful candidate must have knowledge of hardware and software operating systems. Additionally, the candidate must be able to perform
specialized technical work requiring general understanding of operating policies and procedures and their applications to problems; have the
ability to apply specialized technical or professional principles and practices in the solution of problems; be able to communicate
effectively both orally and in writing.
