The iDesk Supervisor provides leadership, continuity and a model of excellent customer service for the front-line iDesk team; provides
comprehensive, high-quality academic support and research assistance to all Florida Tech students, faculty, and staff. The iDesk Supervisor
assumes full responsibility for supervising and scheduling the iDesk team and student employees for optimal staffing in the building and
total user experience for all library patrons.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supervision and leadership of four
    full-time employees and 25-30 student employees including hiring, training and timekeeping in Workday.
  • Assists Florida Tech
    community on-campus and online in all areas of inquiry, including assistance with students’ immediate needs on-demand and via other points
    of contact to deliver optimal service and responsiveness.
  • Delivers knowledgeable information about all Library services provided at
    iDesk and Library; trains and communicates employees on Library services and resources.
  • Serves as the point person for all iDesk
    services, communications and user needs including course reserves, technology lending and library hours. 

Requirements
include:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent knowledge obtained through a combination of education, training and
    experience)
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience
  • Demonstrated progressive leadership of a work team 
  • High-level customer
    service experience
  • Flexibility with scheduled hours as necessary for operational success

This is a Monday – Friday
position; however, some flexibility is required.

Knowledge, aptitude and propensity for new technologies and makerspace equipment
preferred.

Official transcripts of all collegiate work must be sent directly from the attended institution to the Human Resources
Office prior to the first day of employment. All international degrees must have a course-by-course official evaluation and translation sent
to the Human Resources Office directly from an evaluation company affiliated with the National Association of Credential Evaluation
Services, Inc. (NACES).

The Annual Security and
Fire Safety Report
