Georgia State University’s Instructional Innovation and Technology Department – Program
Management Office is looking for a Project Manager, IT. This position will act as a Project Manager for several small to medium-sized
projects in the Program Management Office (PMO) to ensure IT programs and projects meet organizational goals and requirements. This position
will report to the Manager, Project Management Office.
The scope of responsibility will include these specific duties but is not
limited to the following:
- Plan, develop, manage, strategic technology initiatives utilizing project management concepts and technical
tools including implementation of effective scheduling, tracking, and problem management and the transition of projects to the appropriate
operational area within IIT.
- Work with departments on select initiatives to prepare them for consideration by management. This also
includes time reporting to management of work completed each week.
- Develop weekly project reports on status and issues related to
ongoing projects. This also includes time reporting to management of work completed each week.

Preferred Hiring Qualifications:
Preferred candidates should possess the ability
- Manage small and medium technology initiatives utilizing project management concepts and tools.
- Create and manage project
management documents including project charter, project schedule, and other relevant deliverables to ensure successful completion of
- Work with appropriate resources to identify, document, and resolve risks and issues to keep projects on
- Create weekly project reports for internal and external stakeholders sing departmental project management information system
(PMIS), and appropriate PMO tools and templates.
- Attend various departmental-wide status meetings to inform senior leadership of
status key technology initiatives.
