SMA is a well-established software company with 20 years in the monitoring and performance industry. We are seeking Java/User Interface Developers to work in a small team of professionals who develop and support Application and Database Performance Management solutions as enterprise-class products. Our solutions integrate with Quest Software’s industry-leading Foglight platform, used by thousands of customers globally.
You will assist our highly skilled team as we enhance our portfolio of Open Source, NoSQL, and Big Data monitoring solutions. You will communicate with developers, sales and system engineering professionals, and our customers around the globe. You should be independent, interested in learning new technologies quickly, and able to communicate professionally with potential and existing customers. Great problem-solving skills are a must.
Responsibilities
· Leveraging Java and native APIs to collect performance metrics from multiple sources including databases, applications, operating systems, and logs.
· Designing and developing User Dashboards utilizing a platform-specific framework, currently in transition to an Angular framework.
· Setting up and maintaining database and application infrastructure for development and testing.
· Participating in QA testing, product releases, writing documentation, and supporting production issues.
Training
New hires are trained and mentored closely while learning our products and methodologies. Starting with small project assignments, they are gradually given more responsibilities and discretion as their skills develop, eventually leading the design and development of new and existing products.
Desired Skills
· Java Development
· UI/Data Visualization Design
· SQL and NoSQL Query Languages
· JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS. Experience with Angular a plus.
· Experience with any of the following technologies a plus: SAP Hana, Hadoop, Cassandra, MongoDB, Redis, MySQL, PostgreSQL, AWS, or TIBCO technologies.
